Coming up this week – February 2nd and 3rd – will be my first (I hope of many) school visits! I will be giving a school-wide presentation about our book, Woolly Bear Winter: How North Woods Creatures Weather the Cold followed by two days worth of author/illustrator workshops teaching haiku and illustration to kindergarten through third grade students. Plus, I’ll even get a chance to read to the pre-k students, too! This should be an incredible experience as I am collaborating with Lisa Foley, their amazing art teacher! Know of a school that would like an author / illustrator visit and workshop? Check out the “resources” page on my website here!
Join in on a library visit with a science twist! I will be doing a reading of “Woolly Bear Winter” followed by an integrated arts activity that teaches about camouflage…. come to the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library -my hometown library! – from 6:30-7:30 p.m. this Wednesday November 30th. Hope to see you there!
Join me at the Brownell Library in Essex Junction on Wednesday November 16th from 3:30-4:30 for a reading of Woolly Bear Winter followed by a fun craft project! Appropriate for ages 3-9 years old… the younger set will need someone present to help with the craft.
